Nice boat trip out to see the sea birds at Bass Rock and Craigleith islands. The boat is comfortable with an indoor and outdoor viewing area. Excellent guide describes what you are seeing and the captain ensures everyone gets a good view by turning the boat so both sides get an opportunity to view and photograph the birds.

Excellent trip with Linda as a very knowledgeable and informative guide. The boat was fully cleaned just before we boarded and very stable and smooth in the water despite the choppy waves. We saw many puffins, guillemots, gannets and more. The rock at Bass was incredible to see up close. The skipper Lex gave us plenty of time to let us see the birds up close . Fantastic!

We have just come back from an incredible trip out to the Isle of May with Sula boat trips, today on May Day! Honestly can’t recommend these trips enough! I took my 5 and 4 year old out on the boat on my own and was a little nervous about how the day would work out, but the youngsters were enthralled the whole trip. My eldest son is a David Attenborough enthusiast and was desperate to see puffins and Bass Rock so was over the moon to see both. The boat was modern and comfortable. The captain of the boat was competent and friendly. Both he and the boat’s very knowledgeable host went above and beyond to ensure the kids had a great day . Extra thanks to the host who attended to ALL of my son’s questions ( not an easy feat) ! A great team! We definitely will come back with the full family!

We took a boat trip on the SULA 3, with our good friend Pete, being the tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of the area, its history, & the wildlife. The boat was absolutely immaculate, being very clean, & having plenty of seating (out/indoor), along with an upper viewing platform. We visited the islands Craigleith & Bass Rock, from the boat, seeing plenty of wildlife from seals, dolphins, puffin’s, gannets, razorbills, & other sea birds.

We visited The Bass Rock which is an island in the outer part of the Firth of Forth in the east of Scotland, we seen a large colony of gannets, even seen a seal, but the trip is well worth doing, the boat itself is fantastic and state of the art vessel, the commentary and history that is relayed to you is excellent, all staff are very friendly, professional and welcoming, totally recommend and excellent value for money
