Beware! I was about to pack up 5 of my beautiful handknitted jumpers (knitted by me) to try and sell. With no instructions on how to put the box I was sent together, I looked through the reviews again and realised that the brilliant ones are from buyers, and the awful ones are from sellers! At first glance it looks like the five-star reviews massively outweigh the one-star ones, but clearly there are more buyers than sellers, which skews the results. What a close call.

Initially I thought - clever idea, this looks like a great company helping you make some money and give your clothes a second life. But how wrong I was. My experience has been entirely negative. All told I have lost hundreds of pounds due to their punishing small print. After months of sales I have a negative balance of minus £100 and the amount I owe them is growing daily. They charge a fee for withdrawing items of £25 per item so if I want my stuff back I would have to pay even more! The only choice is that I give them all my items. So after all of this I will receive NOTHING. I should have read the small print. I really wouldn't recommend them.

My partner sent over a thousand pounds worth of items and so far made hardly anything. The fees are so high and they keep reducing items and charging extra. This surely can't be okay? For sellers it's not acceptable or reasonable.

The original company that owns Stuff U Sell (CANTALIS LTD, company number 05265217) has gone into administration, and all of the outstanding balances owed to customers, and items sent to be sold, have been handed to the administrator to deal with. A new company was registered last month (STUFFUSELL LTD, company number 14368430) with the same address and director as CANTALIS LTD. Clearly this is not a company you should do business with or place any trust in given their treatment of customers.

Sent them a whole box of high end clothing.... like 15 items or something. I have 12 pounds to show for it and the balance is ever decreasing as they sell items for less than their transaction and commission combined. I will probably end up with a negative balance by the time they are finished. I expected at least a couple of hundred pounds but hopefully alot more for the items after all costs. I thought they would do a better job with listings than I could with really high end photos and achieve higher prices than I could. Basically NEVER again.
