My husband and I hired Studio 29 architects to redesign and fully refurbish our apartment. Both Louise and Margherita patiently collaborated with us to to transform our requirements and wish list into an inspired design mixing old Victorian features with contemporary elements. They were friendly and helpful with finding the contractor, managed and resolved issues to ensure the plan was properly executed and all of this in the middle of pandemic and two lockdowns. Studio 29 comes highly recommended and I would pass their information to friends and family without hesitation.

Margherita helped us with various things, including advising on colours and fabrics in bedrooms, the refurbishment of some bathrooms, creating more storage space in a guest cloakroom and design of a storage unit for records, CDs and guitars in a hobby room. Working with her was enjoyable – her energy and enthusiasm are infectious and she brought lots of ideas that we were able to build on to get to a great plan. Her suggestions of colours, fabrics and materials were invaluable as well as her knowledge of suppliers of items such as fabrics, tiles, wood and other materials. She also found us a team of builders and joiners who were meticulous in their execution of our ideas, helped along by her attention to detail. We are really happy with the end result, and it has given us a home with a real ‘wow factor’! We would have no hesitation in recommending her.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC Margherita Thumiger helped us with remodelling a 2 bed 1950s North London flat on a fairly tight budget. The work will be finished shortly, and we are delighted with the transformation. We had never undertaken a job like this before, but Margherita was reassuring, and confidence inspiring. She quickly gave us a wealth of cost-effective, practical advice and useful suggestions for improving the ‘ambiance’. These were ideas that would not have occurred to us - and they made a huge difference (eg, moving the entrance to the kitchen). Margherita's considerable experience enabled her to do all this at the height of the Covid-19 lockdown, working remotely from floor plans and photos. Importantly, Margherita was also able to recommend an excellent, reasonably priced small firm of builders, as well as suppliers of critical materials such as tiles. Thank you so much! TA & CC
