    A useful tool, but an extremely terrible customer service. I was last year unable to utilise my flight last year due to COVID-19 and so decided to refund my ticket which I had paid over £500 for in exchange for credit (which was the only option). I received this confirmatio in writing. I then 9 months later after multiple lockdowns requested to utilise my credits and was informed that I was in fact considered a "no show" and that I could not redeem any credit. After attempting to call their customer service and send emails multiple times I was consitently ignored and have not yet received a resolution to my issue.

    Just imagine this.. They work as a travel agency, selling flight tickets as the big part of the business, yet their supporters in Live chat don't even know what "checking online" means. They answered that they don't know about that, and I must pay if I change anything. This is my 3rd attempt to solve a problem, and I swear, this is also the last time I purchase any ticket from Student Universe. I got an issue, due to Turkish Airline changing their flight schedule. And people, seriously consider it, as tickets from the airline are only ~15-30euro more expensive. Purchased through Student Universe, you have to do all the changes through them, not to mention the particular problem, that you cannot really check/ change the ticket status (according to the airline's request) on Turkish website. When I asked about my ticket validation for the 1st time, they assured me that everything was alright now, no problem at all. Which turned out it's not, so I managed to contact them and they reissued my ticket again, even double-checked as they told me. Yesterday, when I checked my reservation code on Turkish website, they announced me that the code was not valid anymore. After 1-hour-discussion with a girl in Live chat, I realized that they will not take any responsibility or further help, if the worst case happened, that the airline told me on my departure day that my ticket was not valid. Not to mention, that the airline already refunded my money last month, yet she still confirmed that my ticket is valid? Turkish Airline gives customer the choices to change (provided flights) or cancel the ticket without any fee, but S.U told me, that even though my ticket was not valid at that time, if I want to change or cancel it, I have to pay? and they will adjust the new flight automatically without my confirmation... I don't say that I fully understand the situation, and I still now am trying to solve the problem. But the service is not clear, the process is not transparent, and the supporters are not well trained at all. What do you charge your service fee for???

    Just travelled on it for turkish airline, was the cheapest ticket and had no problem. Got little scared when I received a call from them all of the sudden asking for info about me and my paying card to valided I was the buyer, which was kind weird.

    They charge you more and try to con you by telling you its your bank exchange rate issue. I booked a flight Toronto to London Heathrow and paid in Canadian Dollars using a Canadian credit card and the site was showing the price in Canadian Dollars and charge a lot more than the invoice said. They said it's the "exchange rate" and you need to contact the bank. Also, I was told the price for the check in bag is £37 which should be around $60 but somehow charge $75 Canadian Dollars. They seem to give wrong information and blame the "exchange rate". I will be calling my bank and reporting these crooks to investigate how they are getting away with ripping people off and blaming the banks. Its absolutely ridiculous. Never using them again. Stay away!!!
