Lived here for my first year, every time I had a problem it got reported and it got ignored by reception. A staff member who conveniently no longer works there was talking about residents and when he got reported it got ignored. The facilities are basic and the price you pay for a room and customer service you can get better looking else where.

Trust me when i say this, you can get way better options than this accommodation. I currently live here so ill be brutally honest. They wont cooperate with you if you have any issue. My Ethernet port is not working for past 4 months and they don't even care to resolve the issue. For a streamer you know how important that port is. They literally told me to go and tell the internet provider as its not their job to do it. The internet provider sent me back to them. You pay the rent for everything and you resolve the issue on your own. NICE !!. They will change the room for any native ASAP but for international students they wont, even if you have a genuine problem. Ill agree that there are few things which is good for example the common room but trust me you wound not want to see the gym its horrible unhygienic, bent rods, no proper dumbbell sets, insects roaming inside etc. There 2 laundry rooms in the accommodation but one is 20p expensive for no reason. Some of the staff is really good but some don't even care especially the morning staff with the managers. Somebody threw crackers inside on of my friends room from the window and would have literally burned the bed but no action taken and I believe no police was called either. You are alone here once you leave your country so better live in a good and safe place.

DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD LIVE HERE WHILE AT UNIVERSITY. While The Heights themselves are fine the immediate area is not safe and is nick named ‘The Ghetto’ by students. The amount of gang violence using knives is shocking. My daughter has had to call the police on several occasions and filmed multiple knife attacks from her bedroom window. On the last occasion she witnessed someone being stabbed in the neck. This is not the university experience you want for your child, believe me!

The is a terrible accommodation and theft is high even with the cameras on site they won’t be able to help you when your things get stolen. I wouldn’t recommend
