I had bought Boardman SLR 9.4 from Halfords recently. While Halfords is hit and miss, depending on who is on duty, I can't say that for Strype Street Cycles, who provide outstanding service delivered by competent, skilled & experienced staff who have a passion for cycling. I had booked bike fit assessment for both my Boardman bikes, conducted by Lizzie who was excellent. Simon was also brilliant offering tips & advice. The technician whose name I can't remember was also excellent who fine tuned my SRAMS Rival AXS etap on my Boardman SLR 9.4 (which was not set up properly when purchased from Halfords) and upgraded the cranks to Force for a more easier ride. I was so impressed and had confidence with the service, I booked another appointment to upgrade the aluminium handle bars to carbon handle bars on my SLR 9.4 - to improve comfort, compliance and aero properties. I had no idea which handle bars to go for, and I received excellent advice on my options based on my budget - corresponding by e-mail. Under no circumstances were the team trying to make a sale, and worked based on my specific needs - which is so ressuring. I went for ZIPP Aero Handlebar SL70 & ZIPP stem. The SLR 9.4 was a great bike, and with the upgrades installed by Strypes is now a phenomenal road machine - and I receive a lot of compliments from fellow cyclists during club rides. Thanks everyone from the Strype Team - i know where to come next time if I need anything else.

Can’t reiterate how appreciative I am of the guys at Strype Street Cycles. The friendly service, the vibe and quality workmanship is second to none and should set the bar for all bike shops. Fixed a wrecked tubeless situation in double quick time and fitted a light bracket to boot. Support these guys, they are dying breed.
