My father spent 6 weeks here. Started really well, staff caring & considerate. One evening father was quiet, but okay, the next evening he opened up. He was on water tablets & bladder tablets, so was going to the toilet alot. At dinner he asked to go to the toilet, was refused 3 times, finally with a 'carer ' moving his walking frame out of reach & blocking him. He had an accident. When I reported it to the nurse on duty the response was unexpected & very disappointing - range of excuses. Still I asked for it to be reported & dealt with. 3 days later no one had been informed. Had to report it again. I have been told it won't happen to another patient again. Please be vigilant for the dignity of your loved ones staying there. Was advised that the 'nomad ' medication dispensers would be no use to my father as his medication would change daily - 2 weeks in & he's still on the same med's. His nebuliser had to be collected & medication missing. They did arrange for wicker pharmacy to deliver the missing items. So what should have been a positive stay as part of his recovery was marred by a few.
