FAQ

What types of animals do you rescue and care for?

We rescue and care for dogs and cats primarily, but we also take in other small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. Our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for all animals in need of our help.

Are there any adoption fees, and if so, what do they include?

Yes, there are adoption fees. The fees vary depending on the animal, but they cover the cost of veterinary care, spaying or neutering, and any necessary treatments. These fees help support our rescue efforts and enable us to continue helping more animals in need.

How do you ensure the health and well-being of the pets in your adoption program?

We have a team of dedicated staff and volunteers who provide daily care, exercise, and socialization for all animals in our adoption program. We also have a veterinarian on staff who performs regular check-ups and provides medical care as needed. Additionally, we have strict protocols in place to ensure that all animals are up-to-date on vaccinations and receive proper nutrition.

What is your policy on returning adopted pets?

While we do our best to ensure that every adoption is a good match, we understand that sometimes it may not work out. If an adopted pet needs to be returned, we ask that the adopter contact us immediately. We will work with them to determine the reason for the return and to find the best solution for the pet. Our goal is always to ensure that the animal remains safe and healthy, even if that means finding a new home.

Do you offer any education or outreach programs for the community?

Yes, we offer a variety of education and outreach programs for the community. We provide information on responsible pet ownership, spaying and neutering, and how to properly care for pets. We also work with schools and community groups to provide educational presentations and hands-on experiences with animals. Additionally, we offer volunteer opportunities and internships for individuals interested in learning more about animal care and welfare.

Myself and my boyfriend enquired about a dog and went to meet him a week later. We were told that if we got along with the dog we could then take him home that day. Looking back this should’ve been a red flag! Unfortunately the dog out of fear attacked me in the back of my car which resulted in facial injuries and stitches. Not the dogs fault but they should not have allowed the dog to be taken so easily to strangers which resulted in him being so scared that he acted out and the correct checks were clearly not done to confirm he could be rehomed so soon. Please be careful as this has now resulted in me being scared to get back into my own car and very fearful when being around other dogs!
