Small but very well curated stored located inside Mare Street Market. It is easy to miss but well worth a visit. There are some real gems in the world section as well as a good range of jazz and electronic records.

I love Stranger Than Paradise, my bank account probably does not. But there can be something special about a record shop, and Stranger has it. There are records on my shelves that would not be there were it not for this shop, not just in terms of what they stock, but because they're the reason I gave the album a listen in the first place. 1970s Japanese psych, early 80s New York no wave, Swiss-Ecuadorian spectral country, jazz, droney stuff, reissues of albums that I've loved since (long ago) teengage years... Stranger's weekly email of new releases and restocks has become a starting point to find new music, trusting that their curation will regularly lead to discovering something that I love and would not have otherwise heard. And that's what a great record shop is meant to be, right?

Fantastic record shop run by lovely people. Extensive and thoughtfully curated stock of existing and new releases/reissues. Really strong across multiple genres, in particular jazz, psych, international, electronic, as well as folk and country. Always interesting new stuff/reissues on the walls - very hard to leave without buying something! And very friendly staff who really know their stuff. Best record shop in London for new vinyl? Very possibly.
