Random closures including after the 2 day Royal Mail strike for the entire day and not updated on Google. Staff slow and not interested in speeding up when there is an absolutely huge queue - more interested in chatting and wasting everyone’s time. Consistently an unpleasant experience.

The lady who runs this place is just SO grumpy and rude!

On the plus side, they were open. But they were completely out of second class stamps. 'Hoping' to get some in! How can a PO fail to predict a surge in demand in the run up to Christmas and run out? When I pointed this out I was told I didn't have to come there. Good point - so I won't!

Appalling customer service don’t even want to give it one star. Grumpy staff ,more often closed than open. Staff on breaks or holidays .They don’t bother to look for redelivered parcels and not interested in the customer’s frustration

Warning - this post office counter is closed. Not just the usual "closed while the only person who can work at the post office counter has a long lunch / goes on holiday" closed, properly closed. Sadly I didn't know that before I walked half an hour with large parcels and a baby to get here. Because they hadn't updated their opening hours. Utterly useless.

Do not trust advertised opening hours. Walked a half mile to drop a pre-paid package off on a Saturday morning. Should be easy. Turned away. Staff shortages. We can’t rely on our public services any more.

Lost count of times this place has let me down. Chronic staff shortages are a permanent fixture of this operation and the service that gets cut is the post office, every single time. Sign on door proudly states close at 8pm every single day. Google states adjusted hours, (17:30)they are no help whatsoever, this place could close at ANY time. Staff will never elaborate, never any signage - all this week is now 3pm. I feel for the plight of the staff, but in a city the size of winchester this is an absolute farce, as you can't drive to any of the city centre ones as no parking. The new normal.

Spent more time telling people that they closed at 14:00 than actually serving customers. Then went to sort out parcels while lots of customers waited in line. She then seemed preoccupied looking at the screen. While customers still waited at 13:50. It wasn't til 1355 that she started serving again. Though our all this time we were being barked at by two male shop assistants telling us that the post office was closed this was constantly from 13:43 an absolute disgrace.
