I visited for lunch with fellow choir members. The car park was almost full, service at the bar seemed slow, the food was fine and reasonably priced, we were not rushed, there was limited choice of dessert and they all sounded rather high in calories. (Pie and crumble etc)

Played Tuesday 9th and we have mix feelings Firstly pro shop great small but very easy to have a conversation and felt very welcome Clubhouse quite good you have s feeling it’s a little run down but the staff where great and food was great good price quite pleased The golf was very disappointed firstly we always play here at the start of our golf season and I have to say while we are over a month later than we normally play our first game here we was expecting the course to be in a lot better shape than we found I know we have had a lot of rain but I’ve played at three other course which have similar drainage problems and they both where 1000 percent more playable than here in places it was like walking in a marsh and at s greens fee of £25 I was expecting more I have to say that I am left with a feeling not to play here unless it’s been dry weather for a while and that the club needs some investment to maintain what had previously been a great 18 hikes of golf ⛳️ Very disappointed 😔

We had a great couple of rounds of golf here recently, thoroughly enjoyed it, the challenging par 5s, two 200 yard par 3s and a massive 440 yard par 4 mean it’s a proper test of golf especially the closing 5 holes. Although the weather conditions have been atrocious I thought the course was in great condition considering, the undulating greens were tricky but running fast and true. There were two blind tee shots on the 4th and 12th which have bells to ring when you’ve played your second shots although clearly marked on the scorecard I would suggest a sign on each tee would be useful as we didn’t notice it on the scorecard, luckily a member came across and mentioned it to us. The breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced, the staff and members were super friendly, altogether a fabulous trip that I would highly recommend. Thanks guys we’ll see you again.

Shame the course was very wet in places. The green's have been slitted and starting to heel, but still very woolly. Give it a month and i think it will be lovely.

Ate lunch on 23rd of March with 3 friends and ordered a Chicken Tikka Marsala curry, it was overspiced and tasted nothing like a Marsala sauce, the chicken was little square uniform cubes and obviously bought in from a catering supplier and probably frozen. I did not complain to anyone as we were with friends who wanted to eat at Stoneleigh and it would have been embarrasing.
