After having many problems over many years with a certain Renault dealership in Middlesbrough (Cannon Park!) we decided to take our business elsewhere when it came to looking for our next car. This was back in October 2020 when we visited Darlington Stoneacre when it was then RMB Auto and we’ve never looked back. Instead of the shoddy and indifferent treatment we had been accustomed to in Middlesbrough, we were met with friendly and efficient professionalism by Nathan. We had no intention of signing up for a new car that day but it was Nathan who presented us with a very good deal for a new Special Edition Dacia Duster which we gladly accepted. We returned to Nathan again a year later at the time of our first service on that Duster and with no intention again to sign up for a new vehicle, we were once again presented with what was a ‘no brainer’ of a deal and we left that day having indeed signed up for our next new Duster. Since that first day, we have been treated impeccably and cannot think of one single thing that we have been unhappy with. Instead of knowing that near enough every time at that dealership in Middlesbrough that something else was going to go wrong, everything we have experienced with Stoneacre at Darlington has been absolutely A1 and faultless. We have been made to feel very welcome every time we have been there and nothing is ever a problem for them. Our most recent visit was Sunday just gone when we met up with Aaron who flawlessly continued with the same level of service we have now come to know. We went just to test the water regarding upgrading to another new car and despite prices having risen steeply since our last upgrade, we were given another good deal by Aaron who ensured that we got the type of car and deal that we wanted. We have just arrived home with our brand new Special Edition Dacia Duster and we are over the moon with it. The service we have received from Aaron and Nathan have been second to none and it certainly puts to shame the way we were treated by that dealership in Middlesbrough. Their chatty and friendly way has certainly been a breath of fresh air and we can certainly very highly recommend these guys and this branch of Stoneacre at Darlington. Just keep it up guys – you’re doing the right things!

Stoneacre Renault Darlington, bought a GT line Renault Kadjar Oct 2022. Top of the range, bought it after paying an extra £200+ to fix damaged alloy wheels after they refused as the car 'wasn't making them anything'. Drove car home noticed DAB didn't work/wasn't on infotainment unit. After googling and unable to fix, contacted sales and was told well it should have DAB, then told to go to 'any 'Renault garage and they'd sort! After numerous calls they brought it in, said it couldn't be fixed, following further contact they agreed to replace the unit. 3 months & new unit later they still couldn't get DAB working. They then got 'the ticket 'for the car and realised they sold me a car listed as having DAB when actually this car never had DAB (don't know why, never got an explanation). We had a courtesy car the 3rd time we left the vehicle with Renault and we were told quite abruptly on a Friday night by a lady in service department to get the courtesy car back to them as they needed the car next day, basically your car is sorted what's the problem? It wasn't sorted, we were waiting on a call from sales. Sales manager Kieran took over and promised to sort. So far we've been offered a £60 after market DAB with zero compensation, an offer to return the car minus £800-1000 from what we paid (this is likely the legendary low balling black book offer) or a mention of an exchange I'm guessing at this lower exchange value. This DAB issue was highlighted within a money back guarantee time window as advised by salesman Jay but took that long for anyone to sort its now into the 5th month. What's been disappointing is how the mask slips when you need something AFTER you buy the car, they mis-sold the car and we've ran around after them ever since. Constant poor advice, incompetence from the service department, abrupt phone calls and offers to resolve that have been woefully insufficient. We've since been back-heeled to the service department as the sales manager ran out of patience with a customer wanting a satisfactory resolution.
