I had my engagement ring redesigned by a high end city centre jeweller a few years ago. I’ve never been happy with it, but they weren’t interested after the sale. Very disappointing experience. At the start of this year I had a consultation with Daniel at their Manchester City Centre site. Stark contrast. From the outset Daniel was warm and friendly whilst remaining the ultimate professional, advising me on a number of designs, before we decided on a style I preferred. I immediately felt he knew exactly what I was looking for, and provided knowledgeable and sound advice. Today I collected my redesigned ring. I couldn’t be happier. It is beautiful, and looks even better than how Daniel described it would look. The cost was a fraction of the price I’d originally paid - yet the quality is far superior. I wish I’d discovered Steven Stone years ago. Thank you Daniel, next project already in the planning!

I would highly recommend Steven Stone. The process of purchasing my girlfriends engagement ring was one that I enjoyed. I found Daniel to be welcoming, very informative, responsive but also relaxed (non pushy) which all contributed to the experience. The central Manchester location made the buying process very convenient as i could arrange a time which worked for me during my working day. My partner is absolutely made up with her ring.

Be careful booking Spinningfields! Made an appointment online to buy our wedding bands and earrings on my Fiancée's birthday, after being nothing but impressed when buying an engagement ring from Hale. Not quite the same experience here; this is within a shared office block and after travelling to Manchester, signing in at the main reception, getting our visitor passes and being sent up in the lift, we were politely asked if we were there for the interview! It became apparent as we sat in a breakout area next to office workers that nobody from Steven Stone was there and nobody was expecting us. Realising the appointment had been missed and prepared to drive to Hale, we then waited half an hour for a call back, which we didn't get. I finally managed to get hold of Daniel, who had previously emailed me to confirm the booking and he was unhelpful to say the least. Very cavalier, defensive and unapologetic - I no longer had a booking apparently, as I didn't email him back (which in-fact I had) and that I would need to re-book for another day. When, after no apology or sincerity, I asked why he didn't call if he hadn't received the email, I was told that's not what they do, they only email. Which is true, rather than call me back as requested, I did get an email from him to the same effect as we sat waiting. Being blamed for staff not turning up was not the fantastic service I expected again and had recommended to others. Incidentally, the interview candidates also thought this was poor! This is a shame, as the products really are very good.
