Rooms: Rooms were VERY dated, tired and scruffy. Shabby thin and thread bare carpets. Bed was very comfortable though. Bathroom taps corroded, shower door over the bath was stained with limescale. No drinkable water in the rooms and the tap water tasted unpleasant. Broken cupboard doors and dirty remote control. Detail is so important in this already brittle industry so take pride for goodness sake! Food & drinks: Great food and drink. Service in restaurant was great. Bar staff were less so and they served our drinks with their fingers in the glasses! Very young with no idea... cheap labour!

We were a group of 16 golfers, staying 2 nights with 3 rounds of golf, 2 on the Constable course and 1 on the Gainsborough Course. We booked buggies for each round, which turned out to be a good idea as the Constable course is hilly. Both courses were in great condition and everyone enjoyed playing them, we have handicaps ranging from 7 to 36. The rooms were clean and tidy loved the big beds which were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and I love a walk in shower (only problem I had was the shower head wasn't high enough for me, kept touching with my head but that's not the hotels fault, I'm 6ft 3in by the way) All the staff at this resort that the group came in contact with were very friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you for making our stay great. The food was very nice, we had a chef in our group and he complimented the food. Once again I would like to thank all at this resort for a great 2 night break, we will definitely be back.
