My partner and I called in to request a cake for my 50th, as the lady who was going to do it was unexpectedly taken ill, and had to go to hospital! I requested a Victoria Sponge with black buttercream icing, a red drizzle over the sides, and a black spiderweb! This was written down on the paperwork! My partner and I checked the order and paid £55. My birthday was on the Friday 17th, and my partner picked up the cake on the Saturday. It wasn't what we wanted. It had the black icing, but the drizzle was black, and the spiderweb was red and white! We were not happy! However, the only good part is that it tasted great, but I will NOT be using Stoke Bakery again. I am very disappointed as you're only 50 once! ( Incidentally, there was someone else in the shop at the same time, who also did not get the cake they wanted!)

My non-vegan PA rates the vanilla slices as the best ever. And my partner highly recommends the Cornish pasties. I get to pop in regularly to buy the above for them as it's one of my local shops. They're great value for money. The staff are all very friendly & helpful.
