I would have give this place 0 stars if possible!!! What a disgrace of practice! Staff very rudezero empathy and lack of professionalism! They don't know what they are doing! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE AS YOU WILL NEVER GET ANYTHING SORTED! Every time they take the opportunity to show rudeness and misbehaving! They should be forbidden of working in a health environment! Absolutely Poor!! Receptionists are most of the times so rude that they interrupt you every 5 seconds.... How can they understand symptoms to report to doctors if they don't even listen few seconds?? Stay away!

I got an appointment on 30th January 2022 as my 1 year old baby was having high temperature and left eye was very red. Doctor told me to come back if my baby’s eyes are still red , they will prescribe eye drops. On 31st January my baby’s eyes were extremely red in the morning and I called the reception to book an appointment and the receptionist Kate was extremely rude. She told me to go to pharmacy and buy medicines over the counter. I’m a nurse, i work for the NHS, i asked her how can i buy medicine without a doctor assessing the patient. Patient was only 1 year old. I pay huge amount of tax/NI and the service is bad. Later she offered appointment with nurse practitioner. I’m very sad to complaint as all the other receptionist in stockwood medical practice were very helpful. Kate the receptionist was so rude, when i asked her for her full name she said “u don’t meed to know, this is enough”. Im going to take this issue seriously and i will make a proper complaint against the receptionist. She has given me stress, she won’t let me talk properly, she was talking over me. I find she was trying to be racist. Im very stressed, we are going on a holiday on Saturday and i want to make sure my baby is alright.

Visited today 1/12/22. My appointment was made for me by Doctor Hayter to see Dr Walsgrove at 3PM. On my arrival the electronic check in would not let me check in so I went to reception and explained the above. I was then told there was no appointment for me. I asked why but was just told there wasn’t one. The receptionist was abrupt and said she would talk to Dr Walsgrove. 5 minutes later she returned to tell me he would not see me but could see me at 5PM. I had already explained to her that I was my wife’s carer and could not come back so I was just left to walk away without seeing a doctor. Very unhelpful receptionist, abrupt and rude when all I wanted was to fulfill my appointment.

I have tried to put a review about this practice on their website before but i was told I couldn’t because it’s not my practice. My daughter needed to see someone on a few occasions during this year relating to my grandchildren. On both occasions the school had rang her to do so. One being his eye badly swollen and she was told they don’t do eyes and another this morning for his foot that was pouring with blood. She asked if a nurse could attend to him and was told no appointments but could see him at midday. She has now gone to A& E in Bristol carrying him on her back while pushing a 1 year old in a pram. You should be ashamed of yourselves and the service your providing. All I can say is I’m so glad I’m not a patient of yours

We’ve moved to Stockwood Medical Centre around 5/6 years ago having previously been with the Armada practice. Stockwood has always been so friendly, helpful and accessible. The receptionists are lovely and do their utmost to help you and we have always managed to get a quick appointment and treatment. Really can’t fault them, we definitely made the right move when we changed drs surgery.
