Struggling to find appropriate words but in general an appalling service. Took a new Ted Baker blazer in for repair of a small tear in arm. I left it for 2 weeks as said they would need time to do it, and I also made clear I it needed it for trip abroad later in the month. I turned up at the shop just over 2 weeks later and nothing had been done on the jacket (absolutely nothing!). The staff member said they did not know why but would look at it ASAP that night and asked if I could call back later or have them call me. When at the shop I also spotted broken buttons on the left sleeve that were not damaged when the blazer was dropped off and I therefore queried this too. I received a call later that evening to say that they had looked at the blazer and deemed the repair job was too difficult for the small rip and then claimed to know nothing about the buttons that were broken off. As they had accepted the repair when bringing it to them and told them I needed this for a trip abroad, I asked why they didn’t call me immediately when they spotted this issue. In response they said nothing other than repeating they could not do it and should not have accepted it when I went to the shop. Therefore I asked them to confirm if they either 1) didn’t look at the blazer until the afternoon I came to collect it and panicked, or 2) looked at it after I had dropped it off but couldn’t be bothered to call me when they spotted anything wrong when they attempted to repair it - my mobile number was written on the attached ticket. When I pressed them on which it was, I didn’t get a straight answer and said they would recommend another person and asked me to collect the blazer. After trying to highlight that their service and support was not accepted by me, they then ended the call. In summary - They offered no apology whatsoever and displayed zero empathy on the issues caused. They clearly value their time over that of the their customers, with no consideration given to call me despite having my number (which they managed to find and use very quickly after I complained in the store!). Worst experience I have ever had as a customer and would give 0 stars if I could. My wife and I have since told many others of the issues faced and will continue to do so - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
