This review is for anybody thinking of selling their gold. So, I had a small amount of gold to sell. I phoned the shop and was told yes they did buy gold, normally as scrap but if the pieces were nice and re-saleable they would offer more. So we went to the shop. Our items were taken in the back. The lady came out to inform us of the offer £160. We looked aghast and asked how much the gold weighed. The answer was 16 grammes, WRONG, the actual weight was 24 grammes. We asked how much they were paying a gramme, £10! Daylight robbery. Today's gold buying price around £19 a gramme. We declined. Moral of the story. Weigh your gold, look at the daily gold price, and don't let shops like this one rip you off.

Ring repair was very good however sadly didn't experience the wonderful service others had looking at previous reviews. My eternity ring got stuck on my finger and my husband had to cut it off. I took it to Hendersons to ask about repair and was quoted £50. He asked about my wedding ring as it looks tight but I've never taken it off since my wedding day in 1986 and it doesn't bother me but he quoted £20 to cut it off and £50 to fix and resize but I declined.i initially left my eternity ring with them and was told it would be back Thursday. I phoned on Thursday but it hadn't arrived back and I left it till Tuesday and still no email or text so I called again and they said it was there and had come in last week! I went in today to collect and was told it would be £70 so I explained I had been quoted £50 the man who gave me the quote came over and Ireminded him he quoted £20 to cut the ring and£50 to fix and resize and because they didn't cut the ring my husband cut the ring the price was and should be as quoted £50. I was told that was correct but the price of gold had shot up because of the banking crisis! Sadly not my problem. I paid the £50 but I have to say the lady who served me did not appear happy at all and I ended up feeling awkward and I even apologised because I felt like it it somehow my fault. I won't be back I didn't have a good experience at all. I Hate giving poor reviews but in this instance I feel it is warranted.
