I’ve bought a few pianos from them over the years, the last o e in 2010. I felt like a change so I’ve been auditioning various brands including Steinway. Two things to know about selecting a Steinway from this shop: 1. I tried four different Model Bs, the 7 foot grand. They all had very different tones - almost like different brands of pianos rather than subtle variations in the brand. One of them sounded really nice. Make sure you play simple scales and really listen ti the tone. 2. The staff use very heavy sales techniques, so be aware of this. E.g, while I was playing the pianos the assistant, Maura, literally came into the room after 5 minutes to ask how I was doing. None if the other piano shops dod this and it’s clearly done to apply pressure. So give yourself time to choose and be aware of the sales tactics.
