Had a multifuel burner and surround installed by Nigels team. Nigel was honest and told you straight, which I liked. The team came, protected all my carpets and tidied all their mess at the end of the day. They even used my back granite from old fire to match my half. Nigel rang to check I was happy with the job within a few hours of it being completed. I'm really happy with the service and how amazing my fire looks

We had an inset fire/stove fitted by Nigel's team four years ago and it's been excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, with a large fireplace that ran the length of the living room needing to be taken out. We had a couple of loose tiles a few months after installation, but a quick call to Nigel and he sent a lad out to sort them out. Yeah Nigel shoots from the hip and can come across a little blunt, but I like that because he doesn't try and sell you something he doesn't feel is right for you and his main priority is definitely your safety with the appliance he fits. I recommended him to a friend who had wood burning stove fitted and like me he's chuffed to bits with the work Nigel's team carried out.

What a waist of time and money all I wanted was a test done on my fire I had fitted he took my money his men came out for half a hour put a smoke bomb test which was fine failed on a few small things now he doesn’t want to know very very ignorant person when I went down he told me to leave The fire has been made safe everything as been done at any cost that’s why I came into shop and got a ignorant service I wish I red your reviews it speaks for its self it’s about time he needs to speak to customers With respect think it was an exaggeration to say dangerous

Myself and hubby, came to stead fuels a few month ago, was greeted by a women after we looked round the shop. Asking us what we would like. We explained the multi fuel stove and wooden beam we wood like. Because of current gas prices etc, they explained they was very busy which we totally understood. They got intouch with my hubby with a date for survey with no problem. Within few weeks we got a call from Nigel with a date to fit our stove. On the day of fitting Neil, and the boys came they used dust sheets and floor covering to proctect our home. With in 48 hours it was all complete they cleaned there own mess up after there selves we was just left with the dust which we totally expected. You cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs in my mind I would recommend these guys to anyone who was looking to have a stove installed. Nigel is not rude or bad mannered he is just an honest bloke who speaks the truth and just wants customers to know exactly what they should expect and need thanks again he has over 30 years experience which is rare these days.

Truly a place where customer service stinks worse than their coal! After struggling to find such a poorly signposted place, rang the shop and was met by arrogance and ignorance…”Should have gone to Spec -savers” was as helpful as this prat could muster! Eventually arrived and asked for the “expert’s’ advice as to what was available and prices. This young girl was equally ignorant as the man had been. “I haven’t got time to get everything out in the shop” was the best advice she could offer. At this time I’d been in the shop for less than one minute! I was intending to buy a flue liner, adapters and a cowl, and by my own admission, this is not part of my regular ‘Property Maintenance’ job. We are however more than capable of doing a typical ‘belt and braces’ job…as we always do when working on chimneys etc. 30yrs of maintaining properties and no chimney pot has EVER fallen off! I tried to reason with this girl and the prat of a man appeared from the back of the shop. He rudely shouted, “Get somebody who knows what they’re doing if you’ve no idea”. On the contrary, I knew exactly which parts I needed, but was questioning whether theirs differed from the ones on-line. He was having none of it and then arrogantly stated, “Look, we don’t need your money”. By this time, he wasn’t getting it anyway! I told them I’d seen a bad review relating to their attitude and said that I too would leave an honest and objective review of my experience. The girl then screamed, “That’s slander, we’ll take you to court”. The man followed me out of the shop and began to video me and my van. “If you say owt bad about us we’ll destroy you” was his pathetic threat. To sum this horrendous retail experience up, I’ve never experienced anything like it! These clowns were two of the most unreasonable and arrogant people I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with, and I truly cannot comprehend how their business survives? Unless absolutely desperate, I would not recommend that anyone visit this place as you never know what’s lurking in the coal to bite you. Beware!! .
