I went on a course recently and my expectations were exceeded! The tutors, Nathan and Alys clearly have wide travel experience and great knowledge of self defence. I particularly liked that they informed us of the legal perspective of self defence, explaining what can and can't be done from a legal perspective. I felt this was a gray area for me before attending. I feel I've learned very useful practical techniques thanks to the demonstrations from Nathan and Alys and getting to practice with the rest of the group. Age and gender are no barriers to this course as it's well thought out to cater for all. I had a lot of fun on the day, as did the rest of the group from speaking to various people afterwards. I'd definitely recommend StaySafe and I will be back again in the future to refresh the techniques and learn more!!

I enrolled on the half-day Self Defence and Breakaway Skills course with the aim of learning some basics and enable me to feel more confident when travelling alone. The course was excellently delivered and had a good mix of classroom style learning and practical demonstrations with the opportunity to practice some of the techniques in a safe environment. Nathan and Alys were clearly knowledgable and made the class engaging and fun. I would recommend this course to anyone. In the class there was a mixture of ages and backgrounds, whether it was mothers, students, young or old.
