I’m writing this as it’s my legal right . Like 2 others on here . I’m unhappy. Dumped from the service when I needed help the most. No letter or email just a nasty chat over the phone. Iona was dismissing what I said. Ruth patronised me. Miriam clearly new at her job and should go back to working in the electric company. Big difference working for a electricity company to working with disabled women fleeing dv. Out of your depth and it’s us who suffer. Left me in crisis and done it in a heartless way. They can blame me. Gaslight me. Deny it but read the 2 other reviews before mine. Are we lying or are they? No reason to lie Uber either helped or didn’t ! I’m not the only one unhappy. Nothing any negligent so called professional does to me can be worse then them living with thier falling of vulnerable adults. That’s on you. Shame on you all .Blood on ur hands. Deaths on your concience . It’s a job where you can’t let us down it could cost us our life if you cant do it just don’t do it! Or have the decency to say sorry for failing us at least. It’s the arrogance I can’t stand.

I’m afraid I am struggling to offer more stars on the basis as to how this organisation manages their inundated demands for support. As a result of that, sadly their workload gets prioritise, which s understanding. However, others like myself get left on the back burner. Had they not be able to assist, they should not take on too many cases. They are clearly under staffed, which reflects a poor service overall. They lack poor communication skills throughout which resulted in not handling or assisting in a timely manner. I have been mislead to believe help is at hand, but this was poorly managed by staff, as for the CEO, not great with communication very unprofessional! I personally, would not recommend anyone to use this service following the shocking verbal conduct of staff member - very unprofessional approach . :-(

My experience with this organisation is positive. I am a survivor of DV, and has some other issues including social and medical. Staysafe advocates safety, well-being and independence. They also help with getting help from the social services (PIP, benefits, etc) I'm a beneficiary of their good work, support and help. I now feel empowered, stronger and more focused. I was referred and signposted to other organisations that have greatly helped me in developing and improving my skills, including sewing painting and jewellery making. Thank you Staysafe East!

A fantastic organisation. The help offered by this organisation for those affected by abuse, violence and disccriminaation towards deaf and disabled people is second to none I can't thank the staff at STAY SAFE EAST enough for all of the help that that they have given me. I would not hesitate to recommend STAY SAFE EAST to anyone in need of the help and support that they offer. I have been treated with dignity, and understanding by STAY SAFE EAST over traumatic issues and due to the help that I have had from STAT SAFE EAST i now am beginning to get my life back. What a pointless, dishonest, disrespectful and nasty organisation. Their idea of "helping" consists of wasting people's time without providing any concrete, practical or useful assistance. They are also in the habit or refusing to reply to emails and they illegally disclose personal information without the client's knowledge or consent. They have recently have their funds cut, I am so glad to hear it as they are a very unprofessional organisation. Instead of helping they drive you to despair and make you feel even more bullied and vulnerable. I hope they'll be closed down soon. Their Director Ruth Bashall, is completely untrustworthy and likes to treat people as if they were stupid in my experience. I intend to contact their funders to tell them about my experience and that of my carer.
