Grade II listed bronze (erected 1877) of the Eminent Victorian Engineer stands on a pedestal fronting a Portland Stone screen surveying the Thames. Stranded aside the underwhelming Temple Underground Station lurking under foliage. Gloomy surround, a disadvantageous setting. Deserves better.

Pleasant statue but a bit uncared for, could really do with the trees being pruned to open up statue and make it more noticeable.

This statue is a tribute to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the greatest mechanical & civil engineers who ever lived. It stands at the end of Victorial Embankment Gardens, close to the entrance of Temple Underground Station. The statue of of Brunel dressed as a dignified gentlemen of his day. Worth seeing if you're in the area.
