Phoned mr Singh on the Saturday morning, he came out within a couple of hours and measured for a French door to be fitted, he said it would be ready in 2 weeks and true to his word he came out today and fitted them, the installers were clean and tidy ,, excellent job well done ,, they have fitted doors and windows on other properties I have had in the past always been efficient and good value , highly recommend, Alan at the laurels

I would not even give this company 1 star. Absolutely diabolical company. Used them on the recommendation from someone we trusted. Avoid at all costs. We had a sliding door and porch fitted by them. There were numerous issues which we showed them on numerous occasions, they still did not fix them. Instead we had Mr Singh shouting down at us on the phone requesting payment for the bodge job. The installers who came were rude, did not speak a word of English and insisted I make them tea and provide food for them. Please avoid this company at all costs.

Had windows and large patio sliding doors installed a few yrs ago, sliding doors have been problematic since day one, in fairness star windows did come out to rectify, Problems have since got worse over time, mainly extremely draughty and significant heat loss to the point where you can’t sit near them during the winter months. I’ve resorted to infilling gaps with insulation and covering up draughty areas around the windows - see pics. Star windows want £70 to come out and ‘assess’, I’ve forwarded the pics to them with no response forthcoming. They claim to offer a 10 year guarantee but I’d question if this is the case. Internal Thermal bar poorly installed and cracked with obvious signs the frame is beginning to warp, again I’ve pointed this out to them but I was presented with radio silence. UPDATE: 25-04-2022 So someone from Star Windows has decided to respond, just to be absolutely clear I have NOT USED EXPANDING FOAM - look at the picture ! it’s simply loose quilt insulation from my loft to fill the gaps, can easily be removed by hand, how is this tampering with the installation/void the warranty ? The reason I resorted to doing this was because the install had failed in the first place. I note you haven’t commented on the cracked internal strip (picture also posted), I guess this is my fault as well!? Buyer be aware ! Star Windows have clearly demonstrated their approach to customer service and there inability to understand the issue at hand. Also I understand you have a business to run and would be more then happy to pay a call out fee but if the issue is related to the installation why would you charge the client to fix a problem that’s not their fault?
