I've lived there (72 Shirley Avenue) for 3 weeks during a school journey, way before the houses were transformed into a rest home. The host family at that time (Bailey Family) was so kind and lovely to me. That residential area is very quiet and comfortable and I hope all the guests can enjoy a good stay with the required care.

I really don’t understand the bad reviews for this place as my grandma is cared for here and I think they do the most amazing job. The staff are the most caring and friendly people and you can really tell how much they enjoy there job and want the best for there residents. My grandma genuinely enjoys living there and is very well looked after. Thank you for all your hard work.

I have done a lot of maintenance work at this rest home over the past few years & I cannot speak highly enough for the care & attentiveness I see given to the residents every time I work here. I would have no problem in any of my relatives residing here. I really don’t understand any of the negative reviews that have been put on here & can only assume that there is an ulterior motive involved.

Stanwell rest home is the worst care home I have ever seen in my life my nan was a resident in this care home and she went down hill very quickly they told many lie about the so called care they were ment to be providing her they rarely check on her the staff weren’t doing there job if your planning on putting your loved ones into this home I would rethink that straight away as I wouldn’t want anyone else to go though what me and my family went through with my nan and now she’s is in a different care home she’s getting back to her normal self very slowly after a horrible ordeal she went through at stanwell rest home

To all of the familys that are thinking of putting their loved ones in to a home. please do not put them into stanwell. from my personal experience first of all management can not be trusted.all so personal care can not be meet on a quality care base properly for all the residents that live there as carers have not got enough time.so there needs are not meet on the level they should be.so gald my mum is no longer they ,caused so much unhappiness for both my mum and her family. from her daughter marie.family .
