New Immigration area, New system. I pass with my passport now everytime without issues. Security in the departing area is also relatively quick. Since Covid everything has been significantly improved. *** old - pre-covid!! *** Three times in a row now immigration did now like my electronic passport, although it is accepted by the machines in at all three other airports I have transited in the same period. Then you need about more than an hour from arriving at the airport to the gates. In the past heathrow was always my most hated airport, but Stanstedt is topping this easily now.

This train station is an utter sh1tshow. There's only ever 1 way out operated despite 2 access points and full trains from the whole route show up at the same time while greateranglia staff manually check tickets one by one with no queue, no clear direction and no crowd control. It will take you 10-20mins to get out. Plan for this mess accordingly.
