Called at 8am, on hold for 25 mins, call cut off. Called again 8.25, on hold again. A queue number would be helpful. This service is shocking. Why are doctors so busy ? when nobody can get an appointment? Also, if u call at 10am you can get an appointment for 2 months time, what use is that ? I just need a prescription for antibiotics, I have a chest infection. It's now 8.50 and I am still on hold, I give up !

Appalling. I queued up at 7.45am to hopefully get the chance to see a doctor. Once in , i was summoned to the chair of the Gestapo receptionist who demanded to know what was wrong with m. I stated that i was not happy to go into details but i have had severe indigestion. Her response was to recommend that i go for physiotherapy !!!!!!!! When did someone who has ten minutes training on a computer become a doctor ??? I stated it was internal not muscular which went over her head. To cut a long story short , i was refused a doctor but some nurse will call me !! You could not make it up.

I wish this practice had a minus star as it does not deserve even the one star I had to give to write this review! Feeling frustrated at this very poor service. My friend has had an extremely swollen ankle for 3 weeks, nearest appointment is end of June!!! That is ridiculous... This condition could have serious consequences as it keeps swelling, is very painful and changes colour. She has phoned the doctor surgery for an appointment on more than several occasions and all appointments have gone! She was told she could only have a telephone appointment today, which resulted in no help at all. This needs to be dealt with, as the situation is disgraceful. People need to see a doctor, not told to call NHS111 to go through a long winded process with the possibility of being added to the list for out of hours, to receive another phone call from a doctor. How can a doctor diagnose or assess a condition which could be life threatening over the phone without seeing a doctor face to face. This is a sorry and disgusting state of affairs.

I see a lot of negative comments on here about the GP's and also Lister Hospital. I can't fault either over the last 10 days. I've managed to get appointments and face to face ones and referred to Lister and yesterday I spent most of the day up Lister in the SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care) having various tests
