  Room facilities are relatively perfect, whether it is network, oven, hot water lights are no problem, but the floor aisle slightly crowded and stuffy, at the same time, along the street room, if you do not open the window will be very dry and stuffy, once open the window, often have a car or motorcycle speeding by, as if passing by here specially burn tires, the impact on people is very big, seriously affect the rest of people, It would be nice to have traffic signs around the road warning of decibel limits.

  My Stanley Studios living experience leaves much to be desired. Firstly, there was the issue of the attitude of the receptionist regarding the delivery. At first, residents were required to report their deliveries to the staff by giving them their room number and then they would help find the delivery and bring it to us. The security guard on duty at night had a very bad attitude and he even threw my parcel to me from a distance with force. Then it became a case of leaving the courier locker in the lobby for anyone to pick up. This move has resulted in many students losing their deliveries, but the front desk staff do nothing. There is also the issue of reporting repairs. My friend's room was missing the bedside table that was supposed to be there and from the time he checked in he approached the front desk to report the issue and was told it would be fixed as soon as possible, but when we checked out he still didn't have the bedside table. The door to my room was broken, I warranted it but it took nearly a month for the maintenance man to come and fix it and after a week or so it was broken again. The checkout was even more infuriating. I cleaned my room carefully and I made sure there was nothing on my desktop, but when I asked my friend to come back to my room with the staff to help me find an item I had left in the house, he told me my desk was full of envelopes. It was very strange. Because the staff told me on the phone that they didn't have time to check in my room because a lot of people were checking out that day. The checkout was even more infuriating. I cleaned my room carefully and I made sure there was nothing on my desktop, but when I asked my friend to come back to my room with the staff to help me find an item I had left in the house, he told me my desk was full of envelopes. It was very strange. Because the staff told me on the phone that they didn't have time to check in my room because a lot of people were checking out that day. And when I already knew that all the tenants who hadn't cleaned had been refunded their full deposit, I was deducted £25 and I emailed the receptionist to ask him about it and got the reply that it was because the cleaning had deducted my money. This was very confusing and unacceptable to me. I had cleaned my room carefully and there was only some dust on the bathroom floor that had not been cleaned, but someone who had not cleaned at all was given a full refund.

  I just finished my lease here this September so I would like to share my experience. Stanley studios have nice facilities and staff. Everything is so new because this is the brand new student accommodation in 2021. Everything still maintains well when I left here. The gym is open 24 hours, lots of common places on the ground floor. The location is nice for students who are going to the university of Southampton. The bus station to the university is just on the opposite side of the accommodation. There were lots of good memories that happened here. I will miss the time I was staying here ♡

  This was the perfect Uni accommodation for me. It was close enough to University that I could walk down but it also had a bus stop right opposite if I ever wanted to catch the bus. It's within walking distance to Portswood and Sainsbury's, and has bus stops right outside which take you straight into the city! The facilities are clean and staff are very helpful and friendly! It was also really nice to be able to book out rooms such as the private dining area, or the cinema room if you are having friends or family over to visit. Rooms are impeccable and if you have the view of Riverside, it's an added bonus. Can't wait to stay here again!

  Stanley Studios has been a great place to live in. Conveniently 15 mins from uni (walking). Loved the privacy I’ve had here while at the same time being part of a community with nice communal spaces. I don’t like having the trash room inside the building as it’s not very hygienic and bins are constantly full so I hope this gets improved. I also think the building would benefit from having more washing machines or to constantly monitor they are functioning and offer alternatives or compensation if residents can’t access the laundry room for some time (like it happened and there was nowhere to wash for a while). Other than that, it’s been a very nice and new place to live in and safe, having someone at reception 24/7 has been one of the best things. Nice staff but Alex in particular has been incredibly helpful, kind and open to support residents with our needs. From the first moment I was interested in the place, she took the time to show me the place on videocall and answer all my questions! Thanks Alex!!
