I thought I had given up riding in my late 30s after a couple of experiences that destroyed my confidence. I started riding in the park in September last year (15 years later). Lucinda takes care matching horses to riders. Keen to help me progress I was matched to an advanced horse last week I found I was too nervous to ride. I am so grateful to Lucinda for how my nerves were managed. In that moment I was given another horse to ride but soon after she took me out again on the same horse and showed me how to ride her. This morning I had the most wonderful hack on Julie and my sense of progress and achievement absolutely brilliant. I can't recommend Stag Lodge highly enough.

Highly recommend Stag Lodge! I rode at both Stag 1 and 2 and had an awesome experience at both. At Stag 1, Jemma helped me regain my confidence in riding and supported me in re-learning my trot and with my first canters in the park - some of the biggest highlights of my riding life so far. At Stag 2, Tish taught me how to canter in the arena with confidence and helped build my technical skills. Tish was super encouraging and I came away from each and every lesson having learnt something valuable that has made me a way better rider. After not having ridden a horse in 13 years, thanks to these instructors, I’m more confident than I ever was and I know riding will continue to be a part of my future.

I’ve had two amazing hacks at Stag Lodge! Special shout-out to Lucinda for a fabulous experience! Great customer service, friendly staff who support everyone of all riding abilities and gorgeous horses who are loved and cared for. Riding in Richmond Park is a beautiful experience and I would recommend to everyone! I’ve already booked in a 3rd ride with my friend and I’ll be coming once a month at least!

All of the instructors at Stag Lodge Stables are so knowledgable and friendly. I've got back into riding after a few years off and the hacks in the park with Jemma every week have been so much fun and she has also worked on my technique and getting me back to riding feeling like second nature. Thoroughly recommend, I'd go every day if I could!

Absolutely love Stage Lodge Stables! Instructors I’ve had have been excellent, and horses well turned out. Highly recommend! The instructors cater for all abilities, which is great! Have been using Stag Lodge Stables (Stag 1) in conjunction with Stag lodge 2 to experience both Hacks over Richmond park, and improve riding ability. A big thank you to all the staff, who have been so amazing with both me and my other half. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Big thanks to the Stag Lodge Team. Hacking through Richmond Park is a highlight of my week. The horses are happy and well-looked after and the trails through the Park are just beautiful. A special thank you to Jemma. She is an accomplished rider, a superb instructor and a great companion. After decades out of the saddle, she has given me the confidence to ride different horses. She makes every hack instructive, relaxed and immense fun. As we hack around the park, she has given me tips on how to improve my riding and shared her knowledge of everything from horse psychology, horse health, horse care to show jumping and dressage. She is a superstar.
