This is a riding school that goes out of its way to get to know the clients and provide services accordingly. I am really enjoying the adult group lessons on Saturdays. Becca is able to challenge each rider individually (even at difficult riding levels) with fun tasks and always provides thorough and personalised feedback.

I rescheduled a class 24 hrs ahead of time yet they still said they won't refund me even though I rebooked for the following day. So they charged me for twice for one lesson! It’s a shame that they treat customers like that. I explained why I had to change the date&time due to an emergency at home but they were v rude. No tracking of progress or any attention to riders. Cannot recommend! Will be going back to my previous stables in NW even though it’s slightly farther away..

UPDATE: Just received an abusive call from the owner accusing me of false allegations. I stand by my review and will now have to add harassment to the below. Very disappointing commercially focused establishment, with no Safeguarding Policy in place and no Code of Conduct for staff. Senior staff openly prioritise "livery customers" and would rather defend their approach than improve practice. Overbooked training staff and horses lead to a lack of consistency from one lesson to the next, where for the most part kids are taught the same thing with no regard for continuous development. Don't waste your money, go where horse riding is still about a genuine love of the sport and caring for people and horses.

I have had a very enjoyable experience at stag lodge over many years. I’ve been riding here for 7 years on and off. I can remember my first lesson there was on my 6th birthday and since then I have loved it. Since I joined stag I have ridden so many horses and had so many instructors. I have seen stag lodge welcome lots of new furry friends and skilled teachers. For a while now i have had Tish as my instructor she is funny, kind, talented and a great dancer! But most importantly She is an amazing teacher who knows just how much to push me. There is a horse or pony for everyone at stag lodge who will make you smile in seconds. I would 100% recommend Stag Lodge to any rider looking for a fabulous stable!

My experience at Stag Lodge has been very positive. I’ve been riding once a week in group lessons for 4-5 years and in that time I have ridden all sorts of horses and ponies and not a single one has not been looked after with 5* care. I’ve also gone threw my fair share of instructors but I have to say Tish has been the most effective as she really pushed me while I was never nervous and always felt safe and comfortable. She is friendly and funny and has a really great affective attitude to teaching. There is a huge variety of horses on the yard who all have great and unique personalities. I would recommend Stag Lodge to riders of any level.

I am starting learning to ride here as someone in middle age and I get such a thrill from my lessons. I find the staff patient and helpful. The horses are matched to my level and you can request the same instructor each time. Going to Stag 2 is the highlight of my week. (Ps I have started riders’ Pilates lessons as well and would recommend for newcomers my age and younger.)

Huge thanks to the Stag Lodge 2 team who have got me riding again after decades out of the saddle. The reception team are warm and welcoming, the facilities are great with multiple arenas, a shop and a cafe and the horses are beautifully cared for. You get the opportunity to ride different horses who all teach you something different. A special thank you to Eve who is an outstanding riding instructor - she is knowledgeable, great at communication and good fun. Over my many years of horse riding, Eve is by far the best instructor I have encountered and in just three lessons, my riding has come on leaps and bounds with her. This is a special corner of London - go!
