Just got home from a 2 night stay in birch cottage, all I can say is it’s perfect !! When we pulled up in the car we met laurain and she was lovely. Our cottage was ready so we could go straight in, had a lovely suprise…home made muffins & bread, eggs from the chickens, milk, butter and some bacon ( very unexpected) the cottage has everything you need for a break and was cosy and warm. Laurain took us to meet all her lovely animals and I think I’m in love with Oreo the alpaca !! The local area is great for walks and only 5 minutes from leeds castle. The cottage has a hot tub in a private garden which is lovely. Laurain is so lovely nothing was too much trouble. We loved it so much I have just booked another 2 night break for us in may and I’m sure there will be many more !!

Birch Cottage is everything you can hope for. The welcome package; bread, milk, cake and free range eggs was more than expected. We were in the wood burner hot tub twice a day. What luxury! Our 2 dogs fell in love with the turkey. To top everything off Laurain and Mick were there when ever needed. We certainly plan to come back for a longer stay.

This was the perfect get away for a couple wanting to escape the busy London life and land in a peaceful countryside haven. Laurain And Mic are the perfect hosts, and their attention to detail in your cottage was just perfection. Leaving you fresh eggs, milk and a fresh loaf of bread and some home made muffins for your arrival, giving that instant feeling of being home away from home. The cottage was cleaned to a high standard and was extremely comfortable, spacious and very homely. The hot tub was lit and warm for our arrival, and the host came and introduced herself which gave us that feeling it wasn’t just a business, but that of a labour of love. We had an opportunity to feed the animals and take pictures, and Laurain gave us directions of a walk we should take, which we took her advise and ended up and beautiful walk with great views, and managed to tire out my other half, which gave us a great excuse to crack open a bottle of Moët and head into the hot tub when we got home. A truly perfect get away and I’ve told my family they simply must book and go. We will 100% be going back again.

I stayed at Birch Cottage with my partner. The host is very welcoming. We were very lucky to have a rainy day when we were there which made it feel very homey with cottage core vibes. The lovely host made home made cupcakes and stocked the kitchen with Milk Fresh bread she had made Butter Oil and more Even cleaning equipment which made my partner very happy due to her being a clean freak. Everything you need to know is in the booklet we just wish we knew that for the hot tub as we couldn’t use it to the full potential due to us not reading the booklet. It’s quite expensive so I would 100% go back when there is an offer but it was worth it. Waking up in the morning seeing the animals before leaving was mine and my partners highlight as we love animals. Thank you for accommodating us so well and we hope you liked the tulips :) 10/10 for us
