I attended St Thomas More back in the day (1969-1975). This is a great school, it's was strict for sure, but it aimed to get the best out of the students. I can certainly recommend it if you want your kids to do well, but if you can't get on board with a bit of student discipline, look elsewhere.

Went to this school for five years from start to finish, in comparison to other schools in the area on a educational stand point is a solid one and did well educationally here. However, I spent the entire 5 years feeling uncomfortable and under surveillance. Caused me more harm than good emotionally and my development as a person was massively stunted as my thoughts were being filtered through their ‘standards’ of what a person was to be. They cared more about 9 stripes on a tie than a student actual life, we were all just statistics on a website to the heads of years especially. Educationally I did well but very cliquey amongst students and staff- if you are anything other than the norm your individuality will not be embraced it’ll be moulded into their cookie cutter student they churn out religiously. Was a relief to leave.

I can only say I was a first year in the school's first year and it was a great start for me. Sorry this isn't more recent. The school set standards and expected them to be followed. Great training for my future and gave me a sense of right from wrong. "Thank you" St.Thomas More.
