Nice place where you can see a wharf. Typical architecture, interning building to see and bridge to walk over

(Translated by Google) St Saviors Dock, despite being very close to Tower Bridge, is a very special corner of London, where tourists don't usually go, and those who do don't know how to appreciate it, as the few bad reviews show. To the naked eye, it looks like just an inlet of the Thames River, full of mud. In my opinion it is a very picturesque place, with charm and a lot of history from Victorian 19th century London, the industrial revolution and the time in which the mysterious Neckinger river was almost completely buried, leaving as the only vestige of this tributary of the Thames two hundred meters used as a dock to ship shipments of liquor from nearby distilleries. Today the buildings that flank it, founded on wooden logs, are luxury homes and offices, suitable for very few.

Dullsville. Despite the view the stretch along the Thames from Butlers Wharf to China Dock/ St.Saviours Dock is thin gruel at best. Some apathetic rusting old chains, seafaring jetsam, a sculpture? and lampposts add minimal contextualisation to a dated and faded early Eighties "Thatcher-lite" rehabilitation - depleted of atmosphere here. With the Design Museum closed, the upmarket restaurants along this stretch, effectively with battened down hatches - ornamental barriers/partitioning facing the dreary walkway, largely eliminating the "view" or intrusive scrutiny by passing pedestrians. Tepid here. Obviously in need of a deep upgrade.
