(Translated by Google) Church St Peter ad Vincula (St Peter in Chains) in Coggeshall, Essex, appears majestic from the outside and the inside is also very beautiful. The current building was completed in the first quarter of the 15th century. It is a large and spacious church, almost entirely in Perpendicular Gothic. In September 1940 a German bomb hit the church directly, causing extensive damage and destroying the tower and west end. In 1956 the restoration was completed but the original medieval furnishings were lost.
