St Michael and All Angels in Weyhill is situated on the Harroway, one of the oldest ancient trackways in Britain. The current church has Norman origins but evidence of a Saxon church on the site has been found; a stone Saxon coffin lid has been built in to the outside wall of the vestry. It is possible a place of worship predating the Saxon church also stood on the site due to the proximity to a Roman road and ancient trackways before that. The chancel is from 1280 and the nave was rebuilt in the early 16th century. The north transept was added as part of restoration and updating in 1827 and more thorough restoration occured in 1863, adding the South aisle and removing the gallery, Georgian triple level pulpit and box pews . Most of the stained glass seems to date from this restoration. A small portion of the churchyard is being managed for wildlife and is full of wildflowers, including a handful of pyramidal orchids.
