Rumour has it that the parishioners were going to stage a nativity play, but couldn't find three wise men or a virgin.

My father has been interred at this church (not my choice) since May 1993. I have just been to place some flowers on the anniversary of his death to find the plaque marking his grave gone, along with quite a few others. I realise these are removed when the grass is cut but it would be fantastic if they could be replaced afterwards so we know were our dead relatives are. Thanks.

The church is currently closed most of the time. Set in a large park area of Shoeburyness. Also there is a mini conservation area with a couple of ponds with some wild life. Parking for quite a few cars so you can enjoy a walk around the huge grassed area next door to Asda...
