I recently visited the cemetery and it was an incredibly peaceful and beautiful experience. The grounds were immaculately maintained and the headstones were in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they provided me with a detailed map so that I could easily locate the graves of my family members. The grounds were also very well landscaped and provided a tranquil atmosphere for reflection and remembrance.

The planned redevelopment of former commercial units to the west of St Mary's are very concerning. Many graves, including the Canadian war memorial are immediately vulnerable as a result. Current demolition work is already encroaching into the cemetery as old boundary walls and buildings are removed. As plot holders, we had no communication from St Mary's management informing us of these works, which is very disappointing. Nonetheless, we shall watching closely.

The staff at this cemetery are unbelievably rude and their customer service is non-existent. The plot next to my family member was recently dug up (due to a new burial). In doing so they disturbed our headstone making it very unstable, we did not find out about this until our visit. We pay the cemetery to tend the grave so the fact they didn’t tell us about this is very concerning. When asked what they are going to do about the headstone damage, they have tried to brush off all responsibility, they are expecting us to continue paying them but refuse to fix damage they have caused? The cemetery admin staff have been difficult and obtuse to deal with in this entire situation and have proved that they have no sense of responsibility over caring for the final resting place of our loved-ones.
