My father spent 10 days respite here in summer 2021. A dreadful experience for him and us... he came out very poorly and had lost 15% bodyweight and was nearly chair bound, his cygnet ring had also disappeared (never been off his finger).

Fantastic staff who create a real home from home atmosphere. More like a big family than a nursing home. Well done all.

...my mother deteriorated rapidly here and begged me to get her released which proved impossible...I would suggest anyone who has a loved one in most care homes to be vigilant as it adds to the distress ...some of the staff were nice to me and seemed ok but overall the misgivings outweighed coming away with anything positive ..though I feel the NHS were at fault ,as this home doesn’t have adequate for seriously ill patients ..and our belief is she died much faster here than necessary through unlawful treatment and use of Liverpool pathway euthanasia.

This was a School in the 1950's An excellent Institution with a sister school in Chandernagor West Bengal India which still operates as a school run by the Sisters of Cluny The mother house still exists in Paris at Rue Mechain. This was before I was born but we have 2 students viz Teresa Martin Bays and Gill Bryne-quinn who studied at both the Indian School and later here! They will try and upload some old images if they have some. Since the Institution is still run by the same order it is bound to be excellent in all humanitarian ways possible. This order has done wonders for my Country and are still actively rescuing and nurturing orphans educating children and if anyone cares to know more they could check out the existing educational and orphanages in India both in Chandernagore and Kalimpong West Bengal
