I went to get my passport renewed and requested forms for an ID card so I had some ID on me while I waited for the passport to get processed and the woman serving me said: "What's an ID card?" I was puzzled by this. She then brings out the manager and I explain the situation and he looks at me like I'm crazy. "What's an ID card?" He asked me and I explain things again and am getting frustrated. Then he said: "You can apply for a driver's license or passport." They are forms of ID! Why are these people even working there.

Literally the worst service I have ever experienced. If you are planning to get your first British passport or renew one this is NOT the place to go, you are much better off doing it online. The women there who handle passports misspelled my name, refused to fix it, told me to pay and send it in anyway and then when the passport office rejected my application and told me I could get I refund the post office workers told me it was my fault and argued with me on the validity of my refund. stay away.

Went in today to renew a passport. Counter staff polite and helpful, had a short wait but passport sorted out efficiently and courteously. This service is brilliant, saves a lot of faffing with photos and form filling etc Thank you Nicole !
