FAQ

What is the history and significance of your cathedral in the Catholic faith?

Our church, St James the Great Church, is actually an Episcopal Church, not a Catholic Cathedral. It was built in the 19th century and has since become an important place of worship for Episcopalians in the area. While it may not be a Catholic Cathedral, we still hold our faith and the sacraments in high regard and strive to serve our community through our ministry.

Can non-Catholics visit and tour the cathedral? Are there specific guidelines or dress codes to follow?

Yes, non-Catholics are welcome to visit and tour our church. We have no specific guidelines or dress codes, but we do ask that visitors respect the sanctity of the space and behave appropriately during their visit.

How does the cathedral contribute to the local community and charitable causes?

As an Episcopal Church, we believe in serving our community and helping those in need. We contribute to various charitable causes and organizations, both locally and globally, and strive to make a positive impact in the world through our ministry.

What kind of services do you offer and how often do you hold them?

We offer regular Sunday services, as well as mid-week services and special services for holidays such as Christmas and Easter. We also hold various other events and gatherings throughout the year, such as Bible studies and community outreach programs.

What is your stance on controversial issues such as same-sex marriage or women's ordination?

As an Episcopal Church, we believe in inclusion and acceptance for all people, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, or any other identifying factor. We support same-sex marriage and women's ordination, and believe that all people are equal in the eyes of God.
