Jason was accommodating and courteous throughout, we spotted a car via Autotrader mid afternoon on a Saturday, phoned to enquire about it and Jason was happy to answer all questions about the car and whilst as he should, told us all the great things about the car, he was very also upfront, honest and open about the reality of the car being a 5 year old used car, which whilst in great condition naturally had the odd sign of having been driven. It was refreshing not to be met with deflection or avoidance of the reality of buying a used car. Jason happily allowed us to view the car late on a Saturday afternoon, and allowed my husband to thoroughly vet the car and all the paperwork, even when we were still there shortly after his normal closing time on a beautiful sunny afternoon which he could have been enjoying at home. Jason was completely understanding that we did not want to rush into a decision immediately after viewing/driving the car, and showed no frustration or disappointment at us not making a decision straight away and wanting to take the evening to think about it. That evening when making a final search on Auto Trader, mostly just looking at comparative aged/spec vehicles to see that we were getting the best deal for our budget, we stumbled across a very similar car which just happened to be in the exact colour husband really wanted. Once we'd checked out the alternative car and made a decision the following morning we called Jason as promised to let him know, he again was completely understanding and courteous on the phone. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to St James Motor Company in the future whenever the time comes again to replace either of our family vehicles, and would highly recommend to anyone.

Purchased a Citroen C3 Picasso with nearly 17k on at the end of January 2021 Long story short I was not happy with my experience. Days after purchasing I noticed the central Locking was effectively broken. Pressed to lock via fob and all doors Lock - bar the drivers side door! This infuriated me as I had over £2000 worth of computer Equipment that could quite easily have been stolen- had My partner not discovered this problem. I now am unable to get my car in until the End of March to have this security issue repaired, and so cannot leave anything in my car what so ever for now. Also 2 x tyres at the front were practically bald - but unfortunately I did not notice this at the time and this subsequently cost me £112 to rectify 2 weeks after buying the car, as I was informed they were “illegal” So Thank you for that St James Motor Company 👍. Overall I’m not happy with any of this- I should have had no problems with this car at all when I’ve just purchased it yet I’m down £112 and will probably be down more when the car goes in for diagnostics, and for the work on the Central locking despite it being under warranty; as I’m sure everybody is more than aware there is always some cost with warranty!. If you buy from St James Motor Company -then ensure you take a mechanic with you to thoroughly check the car over. Sam
