Good selection of carpets, however not good service and poor fitting. The measurements they took for our downstairs carpet were incorrect so they patched it together and I was honestly shocked at the end of the day when they said the install was complete (the boss was even the one who installed it). Also left quite a mess for me to clear up including cut off parts of metal carpet strip which were very sharp - a worry when they knew we had a toddler and dog in the house. Did come to try to rectify the downstairs carpet fitting but only looks slightly better and no reduction in price to compensate. Overall disappointing and would not use again

St James Carpets. Local buisness. Easy to get there. Easy to find a parking space. For me? I like to support local buisnesses. You are greeted with politeness. Plenty of choice. They arrange to come to your home to measure up. The carpet fitters are dedicated to their work. In fact they worked non- stop. I was very pleasd with my new carpets. Highly recommend!

Awful company and owner!!!! Everything started great and flooring looked amazing, though within days the cracks started to show the karndean flooring was lifting and the carpets were fraying and loose. I phoned st James carpets to address this issue and they were more interested in the final bill. Eventually they sent a guy out who was rude and didn't seem bothered. A second guy came out who addressed the fact the carpets hadn't been fitted properly and corrected this isse though they have continued to fray. This has now been going on for 6 months and the owner Doug was exceptionally rude and made lies up all to not correct the carpet and receive his money. Very upset as this has caused major stress and cost alot of money

Buying the carpet in store was really easy, the store assistant was really helpful & they were able to help us out massively with our tight time constraints. Unfortunately when the fitter came to install the carpet he was possible the rudest tradesmen/ person we have ever encountered. Not only to us but also to the other tradesmen we had in that day. When I went back to pay the rest of the balance I mentioned this to the store assistant & we had a responses like "he was annoyed because he wanted an easy job for a Friday" & " he couldn't find your house straight away so that probably put him in a bad mood" Such a shame as the first part of the service was really good, Wont be buying from them again unfortunately.
