I have mixed reviews about this service, for my son he was seen quickly but I still had to go through 111 for an appointment, it's advertised as a walk in but it isn't, when you call to try and get an appointment the phone line is never connected. The only way to actually get to see someone is by going through the whole painstaking process of calling 111 and wasting their time.

hi me
This service is pathetic. Turned up last night with intense head and jaw pain, feeling faint and feverish and was turned away as 'at capacity'. Told to phone 111. Obviously not an urgent drop in centre! The two receptionists were very aggressive as well - not what you want when you're ill!

Receptionist was too busy reading a book to book us in properly and just told us to wait in the main area, we missed our slot due to this and ended up waiting an extra 50 minutes with a screaming and uncomfortable baby. No one seemed to want to help us get to the right place. Doctor was amazing however, but I do feel like it would have been quicker for us to go to lgi

Brought my mother in with a leg injury reception staff were lovely and very speedy and the nurse that dressed it called sarah was very kind and patient. Was advised to come back in few days to get redressed. Second time lovely staff again. Again told to come back in a few days. Third time saw sarah again, lovely again but then she brought her senior in to check wound and dressing. This so called nurse was rude, dismissive and her attitude was disgusting. I asked questions on how to look after wound just got smart arse answers and not helpful, she told us to book in with own gp/nurse for dressing review as they couldnt keep seeing us as not their job to keep seeing patients, fair enough if getting into your own gp was possible, would rather go down the road then 30 mins away, told to come back for review if cant get into gp. Forth visit, sarah again lovely and what nurses should be like, senior one came again attitude in tow unhelpful with questions again and pointless her been there. All staff lovely and helpful, apart from this one senior nurse that either thinks she is better than the people she is supposed to treat and empathise with or just another nurse that does it for a job rather than the love of the job and helping others.

Turned up at 7.30pm with a 5 year old and was told they were full despite closing at 11pm. Rude and abrupt staff.

I'm sure this centre can be very helpful. However, I have received a referral from 111 and have tried repeatedly to call for over an hour to schedule an appointment, and nobody is answering, nor am I being put into a queue. From the look of other reviews, this seems to be very common.

I visited today even though they have a very poor telephone system, but very nice and professional help, they respond very quickly. They cooperate well with the hospital and it saved my life.
