Awful GP, tried calling multiple times at both 8am/2pm to get appointments, often calling a few minutes in advance as their lines get busy only to get hung up upon multiple times and then told there are no appointments left

I wish I had a better alternative GP surgery. Reception staff hang up on you when you challenge what they've got to say and the gp (Dr Sahota in particular) seem to have absolutely no interest in patients health even when patient has Covid and was previously classified by NHS as in severe risk category. Best advice given by gp was to ask work colleague to drop off paracetamol. Gp litterally said to me she has no time to arrange treatment for me! The practice manager, Angela, is not a great manager - she hides when you ask to speak to her regards a complaint or escalation. Dr Barnes discriminates his service on ethnicity.

Always had an excellent relationship with Mulberry Surgery. Been a patient for 20+ years. Even through the pandemic.

I had no problem with my GP until Mulberry House merged with St Denys Surgery. Since the merge, I have not been able to see a doctor face to face, not even once. I always avoid calling the GP for anything minor as the last thing I want to do is waste NHS time. I am severely anaemic, with low platelets. Back in May 2021, I called up for an appointment and asked for a blood test which I was refused. My body was covered in bruises which normally means I have very low platelets when this happens. I ended up having to call 111 and they finally managed to book me in for a blood test and renew my prescription for Tranexamic Acid and Iron Tablets. Fast forward to February 2022, I called up again for a blood test appointment as this time I could tell my iron levels were very low, normally when my iron drops it really influences my mood and I become extremely tired and pale. Again, I was refused a blood test and after throwing my toys out of the pram, I was called back by Dr Brett â I explained everything to her, from my low platelets to my anaemia â she decided that I needed to be referred to a gynaecologist - I disagreed with her and said I need to see a haematologist, not a gynaecologist, and she literally said she is the doctor and she knows best, which I obviously agreed with. Dr Brett also booked me in for a blood test. Dr Brett called me after receiving my blood test results and said everything was normal and I just had low vitamin D, shortly after the telephone conversation, I received a text from NHS saying my case has been closed following normal results. I remember I was in tears thinking this was all in my head as all my blood results were ânormalâ according to Dr Brett. I went to the gynaecologist appointment as arranged by Dr Brett, and he said to me, Iâm not sure why you have been referred to me, you should have been referred to a haematologist, so he referred me to a haematologist. Luckily, the referral was so quick, I saw a haematologist within a week or two. The haematologist looked at the exact same blood results that Dr Brett called ânormalâ and said to me âYou basically have no iron in your body, I donât even know how youâre functioningâ â he then referred me for an iron infusion. I have been seeing my haematologist once every three/four months and having iron infusion which I am grateful for. In November 2022, I called up the GP to see if they can prescribe me Vitamin D again as I was not feeling 100%, and I never went to collect my prescription from February as the whole experience had left me traumatised and disappointed in St. Denys Surgery. I was told as it had been so long since the blood test, I would need to speak to a Dr and a Dr would call me back. I never received a call back from a Dr and I was genuinely so understanding that NHS is struggling. In December 2022, I called up the GP again as my legs were covered in tiny red dots and again, this normally means I have low platelets. I literally begged for a blood test which I was told I canât book because I needed to see a GP first, they said the next available appointment they had for GP was 26th January 2023 â I was so disappointed and upset as I literally NEVER call up the GP even when I am unwell until I feel really really unwell and scared, the receptionist hung up on me. In summary, St Denys Surgery is THE WORST! I don't even think they comprehend what "duty of care" is!

They are NEVER on time, even when you have the very first appointment 8:30 in the morning they will at least be 15min late. BECAUSE THEY CAN. When I arrived 7min late for my appointment they didn't let me in because I was too late when they can be up to 40 min late sometimes there's no consequences for them. - BECAUSE THEY CAN I Requested medical documents for insurance claim. I needed it in a hurry but they have 28 days to do it. They promised 2 weeks. YEAH RIGHT 2 MONTHS MINIMUM - BECAUSE THEY CAN Dad was discharged from hospital with medication list on a discharge for them to do prescription. NOPE, RECEPTIONIST KNOWS BETTER.

Bad service and total disregard of patient needs I left this surgery and went elsewhere. They ignore your needs (when in a lot pain) and have no concern for your health plus I asked FOUR times for my new address to be updated, an important letter from the hospital I needed went to my old address. Talk about disorganised.
