This school is pretty amazing. The teachers are really helpful and ever willing to give their time to help you out. Its well coordinated and there are many activities put in place for enrichment which are fun and not necessarily subject related.

Not Exaggerating but I honestly feel this is the best college. I am a student who is not from the UK and haven't done my GCSE's here. I was quite skeptical about whether I would receive the kind of support I had from the place I came from. But infact I got so much more than I thought, especially in chemistry in which am not very strong but the way my teacher was going through the basics I feel much more confident of my subject choices now. This college indeed teaches discipline determination and dedication to achieve our goals in life I honestly recommend you to study in this college even it's an hour away as an investment in education is never gone vain ( I have visited another college in the second week and decided to study there as it is quite near to the place I am staying but the system was so irresponsible, timetable ls changed everyday and teachers were quite old fashioned in their methods, not complaining but they focused more on just finishing the syllabus than the students understanding the topic) Well to sum it up if you are serious about studying weather or not you were very good before this is the place for your passport to the future

This school does not let student do their resits in october unless they achieve a certain score before. This is because in the previous year 90 students failed and around about 5 passed.

Although St. Charles was not my first choice, I am so glad to have spent my past 3 years in this academic institution. Why? Here are my personal reasons. The teachers persistently provided an equal opportunity to all its pupils to produce work which they can be proud of. They demonstrated great patience and understanding of student’s circumstances whilst offering support. E.g., through additional workshops and tailored feedbacks on every assessment. The ability to study a combination of an A-level and a BTEC subject has exposed me to a wide range of assessment methods, which have only served to further my confidence for future studies, especially at a university. The career advisors keep students well aware of invaluable opportunities such as work experiences, work placements, summer schools, etc., through weekly “Careers Newsletters”. This particularly benefited me from securing a paid-for job opportunity to develop a website for a charity organisation and work experiences at a Barclays bank as well as at a business consultant agency to develop a prototype for a potential app. Moreover, their support extended to other areas such as, choosing a university course, moulding a career path, and producing a successfully Personal Statement which brought me offers from all my chosen universities. To conclude, St. Charles provided me with an abundance of opportunities, with superior treatment to the one I received in secondary school and equipped me with highly admired skills such as Critical thinking and Problem solving. But most importantly St. Charles intrigued someone like me to work hard towards their qualifications, who prior to attending underestimated the importance of an adequate education.
