Full of racism- I do not recommend if you are a person of colour. Several people I am friends with, and myself included, had to change schools because the racism was seriously getting too much (mind you- I am half white so I cannot imagine how much more worse others have it). The students and even the teachers are racist. Of course not all teachers are racist. I knew one teacher who as extremely sweet to me but there are definitely teachers at this school who don't hide it at all. For a grown adult, you would expect them to be responsible and have manners but it's not really the case here. And like one google review said, they really don't care if you're being bullied. I knew this one person who had reported that another student had called them a racial slur and the teachers did nothing at all. I really am not the type of person to write google reviews but I really want to warn other parents/students who are thinking of going to this school- especially if you are a person of colour. Kids should feel welcomed and safe in school and not like they are constantly judged for the colour of their skin.

My daughter joined the school 6 weeks ago in year 7. I have seen a huge increase in her confidence and for the first time in about 2 years she doesn't complain about going to school in the morning. The teachers I have had contact with are lovely and really seem to care about the child as well as their education. Homework is achievable and the pupils can message teachers for help when needed. The reception staff and admin team are really helpful. I was so worried about how she would cope moving from a tiny primary into secondary (in an area she doesn't know and with no children from primary as we moved 30 miles away) bit I needn't have worried. I would recommend this school to anyone

With a new Y7 I have been extremely impressed with the transition from primary to secondary. Its a very well run, organised school with excellent teaching. They seem to be hot on discipline so disruption in lessons aren't tolerated. Great range of subjects and like the ethos of nurturing each child's personal talents whatever they may be. I would highly recommend.
