Acton is blessed with several very small allotment sites and this, small though it is, is not the smallest. But small sites create tight communities, and there's something delightful about walking onto a site like this and being able to meet all the gardeners within a few steps. Like so many allotments, it is easy to imagine that you are in a small pocket of countryside, even though the A40 thunders past just a couple of hundred metres away.
