FAQ

What are the prayer times offered at your mosque?

We offer five daily prayers at our mosque: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. The exact timings of these prayers change every day and depend on the position of the sun, which we calculate using a special prayer timetable.

Are there separate prayer areas for men and women?

Yes, we have separate prayer areas for men and women. The men's prayer hall is located on the ground floor, while the women's prayer hall is on the first floor. This allows both men and women to pray comfortably and without distraction.

What types of programs and events does your mosque offer?

We offer a range of programs and events throughout the year, including educational classes, lectures, and seminars on Islamic topics. We also organize social events such as Eid celebrations and community dinners. Additionally, we provide support services for those in need, such as counseling and financial assistance.

Is your mosque open to individuals from all denominations?

Yes, our mosque is open to individuals from all denominations. We welcome anyone who wishes to learn more about Islam or join our community in worship. We believe in promoting understanding and respect between people of different faiths and backgrounds.

How does your mosque contribute to the local community?

We also work with local organizations to promote social cohesion and interfaith dialogue. Our mosque is a hub for community activities and a place where people can come together to support one another.

Was a guest in the area and dropped by. There was a misunderstanding about where to put my shoes and me and my little children got told “if you don’t know where to put your shoes don’t come here” it was so disgusting and unbelievable. Never have I been treated like that by a fellow Muslim. Let alone in a masjid. There was a commotion and the man was shouting to us while my young children watched. Rude, unislamic, uncivilised behaviour.

Masha Allah May Allah reward the people who helped to build this amazing place and I am so proud our Srilankan community to give us the opportunity to have a mosque where we can come and pray as well as see our friends and families when we celebrate our Eid day. It is the one of the place made me feel like that I am in back home.
