Brewed the Telila Honey Yukro. 21 clicks on the Comandante with a 3.20 brew time. The coffee was great. Apricot-forward with nice mellow acidity. Used James’ V60 recipe.

We all know the coffee is great so never thought to leave a review to state the obvious, But after their great customer service I felt I had too. Unfortunately when ordering my coffee online it seemed to auto fill my old address( which is 100% my own fault) I sent an email to square mile asking if they could get in touch of Royal Mail to update the address but unfortunately the item was already delivered. Square mile sent me a free order to replace the missing bag without asking any questions. Unbelievable customer service that put a big smile on my face.

How many times have you seen something in the internet, youtube that looked so good, then you tried it for real and it was just a disappointment? Here is the truth about this coffee for all those who, like me, got to know James Hoffmann through his internet-channel and wondered if his coffee is really any good. Unfortunately I have to tell you, that you really should be spending money on this expensive coffee, or you shouldn't. "Unfortunately", because you might not want to go back to whatever you had before after that, and your life is gonna be more expensive. I have no espresso-machine, so I only used aeropress and v60 for brewing, pretty much the "hoffmann" way, as proposed in his videos. I had to learn a bit, use the right water, set the grinder right, but after 10-15 coffees I got the hang of it. It's wonderful, just a delight and that can be a problem, because your tolerance for bad coffee is going to go way down. You will have a hard time enjoying coffee you enjoyed before, because after this coffee you know what coffee can be. This is how it was for me. Better don't serve it to friends. Let them their ignorance. So bottom line: JH is the real deal, but beware, you might not be able to turn back. (Not sponsored, unfortunately, that stuff is expensive)

I’ve been purchasing their coffee for a few years now and I find it to be the best coffee I’ve bought for making filter coffee at home. I prepare the coffee with the chemex and it is phenomenal! Their customer service is also excellent, they respond very promptly, are super friendly and give their best to find the best solutions for their customers. All in all I love them and recommend them full heartedly.

I bought a bag of each of their espresso coffees, Red Brick, Sweetshop and Il Grifone. I’ve been unable to pull a decent shot despite following their recommended recipes and despite making adjustments. They’ve all been way too sour. I’m far from being an expert but I’ve been able to pull decent shots with other coffees. I certainly wouldn’t recommend their espresso coffee to anyone.
