WARNING: From my personal experience, I wouldn't recommend this course to any one that has no experience in this filed already. Its a great course with great teachers, but this course works best to improve your knowledge rather than train you from the ground up. It's a lot of money to payout. There's lots of assignments & case studies to do in a year. plus you have to find a lot of clients to practice on in-between each monthly class. It's an overload of inforamtion and hard to find time for it all, unless you have a job in this profession already. So this is why i think having a more basic qualification would work best. you will have a client base ready to go. Also, there's not much teaching happening. You mostly have to teach yourself. The one monthly weekend doesn't seem enough to know you are working correctly in your hands on practice. I wish i had done a level 3 in massage first, built up foundations and some clients before splashing all this money on a course that makes me feel rushed. And all this while trying to work my main job to pay bills. The video content they give you to help you at home is also very out of date. It's hard to navigate around the video content. So when you want to find a massage technique to master, you end up wasting a lot of time scrolling through the full length video to find the technique. It should be individually chopped into sections to save our time. It's not ideal. But this is just my experience. I'm sure some others have had better ones.

I attended the introductory course in London and I was amazed at the amount of content that was covered in the two days. Not only were the tutors great at demonstrating and teaching, they were really friendly, welcoming and personable too. Very excited to start the level 5 diploma!

The course is broken into 12 weekends (1 every month) and I have currently completed 5/12. My degree was Medical Science and I am impressed by the anatomy knowledge and teaching techniques of all the instructors and course work I have been taught by and completed respectively. The atmosphere is friendly, encouraging and motivating, with intimate input from the instructors to guide you to become the best massage therapist possible (posture/ technique/ positioning/ anatomy etc.). I have heard many of my peers, who have also completed other massage course, say this course blows them out the water… and I’m not surprised why! Mr Mel Cash himself also has a very involved role in the teaching and history of the course. His passion for massage and his anecdotes of his career are infectious! :) Couldn’t recommend more!

Excellent education. Enjoyed the course very much, learned so many amazing massage techniques and exceptionally useful knowledge of physiology and anatomy. The instructors are fantastically helpful and the teaching approach is fun and light, yet super effective. Great experience overall, I feel that I’ve grown significantly from this course as a therapist, PT, and athlete! Thank you LSSM.

An excellent learning environment exceeded only by the quality of the tutors found here. I have no hesitation in recommending the London School of Sports Massage to anyone with a genuine and serious interest in learning how to help others through remedial bodywork. If however you just need some qualification to start work, then there are many far cheaper options, but you really do get what you pay for, and I cannot stress this enough. If you want to invest in your education and future career, then LSSM is the direction to take. I myself was recommended them by an excellent professional Swedish massage therapist, she told me that she only gets massages for herself from those that have graduated from LSSM. Now I know why!

After I decided I wanted to do a course in Sport Massage and doing quite a bit of research on courses and asking around, it became evident very quickly that LSSM was the real deal if I wanted to get the most value for my money. I can honestly say it is the best money I have ever spent on a course (for those of you who thinks it is too expensive) and I have gone to University and taken quite a few courses such as level 3 Personal training, wellness coaching, nutritional courses etc. (let's just say I study a lot!) Even though it is a foundational course, the practical skills I got from this course was showing in my treatments even before I was finished and we had learned all techniques. The feedback I have gotten from my clients have been it is the best massage they have ever had, or that they have never experienced such quick results from my unique techniques before. I would especially recommend this course if you are a personal trainer as it will be an invaluable tool for you to help your clients even further and will give you loyal clients for life as you can help them in a way no one else can! I do want to warn you though, if you are not ready to put in the hours to study for the assignments or carve out time to do your practice hours for your log book, then you will probably give up very quickly and then it is money down the drain. This is a serious course that will require time and effort from you - however, in the bigger picture you invest 1 year of your life into something that will give you loyal customers and possibly a career change for the rest of your life! Again, best investment I have done!

So far I have completed the introductory weekend but I am signed up to complete the full L5 Diploma Course. The weekend spent at LSSM was brilliant. The staff are extremely personable, welcoming and evidently knowledgeable. Their passion for their work and the industry really comes through. The weekend flew by and has only made me more eager to complete the course and set out in my new career with the best educational foundation from LSSM.
